With over 38 years of experience using precision lathes, mills, drills, and saws, Blue Grass Manufacturing has perfected their CNC machining techniques to produce high-quality machined parts. Starting with your AutoCAD, IGES, PDF, or SolidWorks file, our expert team uses our cutting-edge machinery and processes to reproduce your design to tight tolerances.

We perform a variety of CNC machining operations that center around our 3-axis turning and 4-axis vertical and horizontal milling, along with a 5-axis machining center. In addition to milling and turning, our machining capabilities include:

At BGM, we support our services with a variety of value-added options, including kitting, packaging, and labeling.

Assembly Services

Mechanical and electromechanical assembly are a major part of our assembly service offerings. Available assembly options include:

Kitting Services

In lieu of performing final assembly of products in our facility, our team will compile all of the components for final assembly into a kit, expediting the final assembly process within the client's facility.

After assembly or kitting, BGM also provides packaging and labeling of products according to the specifications of the client, including branding, display packaging and protective packaging to ensure products remain undamaged during transport.

Custom Welding

As a versatile contract manufacturer, at Blue Grass Manufacturing Co. of Lexington Inc., we offer many types of welding, brazing, and soldering processes.

Welding processes include gas metal arc, tungsten metal arc, shielded metal arc, and resistance spot welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminum. By offering a variety of welding processes, we are able to manufacture multiple weldment types, sizes, and wall thicknesses. Copper, brass, and aluminum brazing services are also available for heat sensitive applications. We have years' of experience in fabricating multiple electrical, air handling, and other subassemblies for customers in a wide range of industries including appliance, off road vehicle, and industrial equipment manufacturers.

Customers utilize our welding capabilities both as a standalone service and in conjunction with our may other contract manufacturing services. Additional manufacturing services include machining, assembly, and packaging. Finished parts can be measured with advanced CMM equipment according to our ISO 9001:2015 certification. Through lean manufacturing efforts, we are able to optimize manufacturing processes and save customers money by outsourcing processes that are outside of their core competency. On request, value added fulfillment services can also be developed to meet customer needs.
